FACILITIES

WEIGHT ROOM

Q: Are there separate memberships for use of the weight room only?

A: No. Only those with an Irvington Club membership can use the weight room. This restriction includes summer swim memberships.

Q: Is there training available on how to use the equipment in the weight room?

A: Yes. We currently use Joey Smith as our primary personal trainer for the Club. You may contact him directly at 503-290-8191.

BALLROOM

Q: What is the charge for renting the ballroom?

A: Members: $300

Non-members pay $500 and Full Members pay $300. A $100 deposit is required to reserve the room and is applied towards the total ballroom fee. The deposit is refundable up to 30 days prior to the event.

All rental fees are non-negotiable.

LOCKER ROOMS

Q: Can I bring my own lock for the locker room?

A: No. We have combo locks for you to use. The rental fee for a locker is $3.00 per month.

PROGRAMS

TENNIS

Q: Can non-members use the tennis courts?

A: Non-members can use the tennis courts only as the guest of a club member. The adult guest fee is $10.00 per court time. Guest fees for juniors are $8.00. A guest is limited to two Irvington Club appearances per month with the exception of special visiting passes for out-of-town guests. These passes may be purchased in the office for seven days. Court charges are extra.

Q: Can I bring a friend to ladies’/men’s day and ladies’/men’s night?

A: Yes. However, only a total of four guests are allowed at any one time.

Q: Can juniors play during ladies’ and mens’ open play days?

A: Yes, but boys must have an NTRP of 4.0 or higher and girls must have an NTRP of 3.5 or higher.

Q: Can juniors play in the fall tournament?

A: Yes, with the approval of the Irvington Club Tennis Director. Boys need to be playing at a USTA level of at least 4.0, and girls needs to be playing at a USTA level of at least 4.0.

Q: Can non-members take tennis lessons?

A: Yes, but club members get first priority. Non-members will be placed on a waiting list and will be called by the Club Tennis Pro if space is available.

Q: How do I sign up for a tennis lesson?

A: Contact Walter Seidel, Irvington Club Tennis Director, or Cris Valverde, Irvington Club Head Tennis Professional.

Q: What are the rules for use of the ball machine?

A: The ball machine may be reserved for use on courts 3 or 4. A fee of $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for juniors is charged in addition to the court fee. All balls, including balls behind the curtains, must be picked up and the area swept by the end of your court time.

Q: Can I use the ball machine during Prime Time hours?

A: No. One person alone may not use a court during Prime Time hours.

Q: What are Prime Time court hours?

A: 9:30 a.m. Monday through Sunday

8:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Saturday and Sunday

5:00 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday

Q: When do I call for "Day-Previous" reservations?

A: 8:00 a.m. FOR: 6:15 p.m. — 8:45 p.m.

8:30 a.m. FOR: 12:00 p.m. — 5:00 p.m.

9:00 a.m. FOR: 7:00 a.m. — 10:45 a.m.

Q: When can I make "Day of Play" court reservations?

A: They can be made after 6:00 p.m. on the previous day.

SWIM

Q: How do I apply for a swim membership only?

A: Contact the Irvington Club front desk to get your name on the Swim Membership waitlist.

Q: What is the current rate structure for a swim membership?

A: Family: $654 + $29 per family member beyond 2

Couple: $654

Single: $403

Q: Can I send my children to the pool with a nanny?

A: Yes, but you will be required to pay an additional flat fee of $40 for the summer for that privilege.

Q: What club facilities are available to those who have a summer swim membership?

A: The pool area and pool locker rooms are available to swim members. All other areas of the Irvington Club, are not open to swim members, unless they are purchasing a snack bar card at the club’s front desk.

Senior Associate: $44

Junior: $40

OFFICE PROCEDURES

Q: What is the procedure for placing an ad in the monthly club Newsletter?

A: You can submit a design or a business card to the club office. You can place a one-time ad or run it in the Newsletter every month. Contact the club office to determine fees, which vary according to the size of the ad and how long it is run. The ad must be placed by the 20th of the month for the upcoming Newsletter.

OTHER

Q: Are babysitters available for members at the club during jazzercise or when they are playing tennis, using the weight room or engaged in any other club activity?

A: No.

Q: Can I bring a babysitter to the club to watch my children while I am engaged in a club activity?

A: Yes, but the children must be under the babysitter’s direct supervision at all times.
