Irvington Club Tournament Waitlist & Substitution Rules
-
A waitlister may play in an Irvington Club Tournament if a sufficient minimum draw cannot be filled by members and with approval of the Tennis Director (full draws are considered without BYE's). Doubles players must play with a member. Tournament play does not count towards the "three-time-per-month" limit on tennis play. Tournament fees are $10 more per entry than the member fee. If a waitlister wants to play, they should fill out an entry form. If they are needed, the Tennis Director will notify you and you can pay prior to the first match.
-
You may only sub a player into the doubles draws with the approval of the tournament directors.
-
The sub cannot still actively be playing in the doubles draw
-
The sub cannot have played against the match opponents in previous rounds of the doubles draw
-
A player who found a sub for his or her first round doubles match is allowed to sub back into the consolation draw but not the main draw. This has to be discussed with the found sub and agreed upon before the main draw first match is played.
-
If any player subs into the draw after the first round matches, that person will not be charged the entry fee. (The player that dropped out will be charged the entry fee.)
-
If a player entered into the tournament and then had to pull out prior to draws first match then the sub will be charged the entry fee.
