Pool Manager/Swim Team Coach: Laura Tyrrell
Laura has been coaching the Manta Ray's swim team for the past 5 summers. In addition to coaching at the Irvington Club, Laura coaches the Grant High School Swim team. In 2010, the Grant High School Boys' Team brought home the State title, the first State swim title for Grant since 1957.
The Manta Rays have also had plenty of success under the current coaching staff, consistently finishing in 2nd place at the Championship Meet. The Manta Rays are in the midst of an outstanding 2011 season under current assistant coaches Stacey McCrary, Josh Latto, Zoey Kearns and Melissa McCrary.
Laura has also been managing the pool since 2008, relying on an excellent staff of Lifeguards to ensure that the pool runs smoothly. The pool staff is lead by three head guards: Andrew Chung, Laura Waksman and Dylan Richmond. We also have a number of returning guards: Alexa Kearns, Chris Rego, Emily Chung, Nick Stone, Ruth Campbell, and Will Tyrrell. New to the guard staff this year are Will Stevenson, Laney Williams and Natalie Abbott.
Lesson Coordinator: Stacey McCrary
Stacey is returning to Irvington for her 4th season. She is a recent college graduate, from Syracuse. Stacey has built and runs an amazing lesson program. Her staff includes, Alexa, Emily, Melissa, Ruth, Will, Zoey, Laney, Natalie, Ellie Franklin and Delia Tyrrell.
