Court Time

Court time is 1 hour 15 minutes with the first reservation at 7:00 a.m. and the last at 8:45 p.m.

Adult Reservations

Reservations for adult court times may be made online at www.irvingtonclubcourts.com or by calling 503-287-2000. For day-previous reservations, refer to the schedule below:

  • 8:00 am    for    6:15, 7:30, 8:45 pm
  • 8:30 am    for    12:00, 1:15, 2:30, 3:45, 5:00 pm
  • 9:00 am    for    7:00, 8:15, 9:30, 10:45 am

Reservations will not be allowed before the above times. Only one court reservation may be made per booking (online or over the phone).  Two court times per player per day may be reserved but may include only one reservation during prime time.

Members may not play on two prime time, day previous reservations. Violation of this rule will result in a $12.00 fine.

Adult day-previous reservations will not be allowed for individual use during prime time. To use a day-previous court during prime time, there needs to be at least two people on court playing.

Same day reservations are defined as court reservations made on the same calendar day (for example, a Monday reservation on Monday, Tuesday reservation on Tuesday, etc.). Members are not restricted on the number of court reservations (prime time or non prime time) for same day reservations.

All courts (day previous and same day) need to be canceled within four hours of the court time.  If it is canceled four hours or less of the court time, the court fee will be charged unless the court is booked by another member. Please call 503-287-2000 to release your court (even if it is late) as this will allow another member to possibly book it.

The reservations rules for the outdoor court are the same as the indoor courts.

Junior Reservations

Reservations for junior court times may be made online at www.irvingtonclubcourts.com or by calling 503-287-2000. For day previous reservations, refer to the schedule below:

  • 10:00 am  for  Non Prime Time Hours
  • 6:00  pm   for  Prime Time Hours, which are as follows:
  • Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs – 9:30 am, 5:00 pm, 6:15 pm, 7:30 pm
  • Fri – 9:30 am
  • Sat, Sun – 8:15 am, 9:30 am, 10:45 am 

Please keep in mind that the day previous junior times only apply when it’s all juniors on the court. If an adult is playing on court with a junior, please see Adult Reservation rules.

Junior Guidelines

  • Junior members under 9 years of age must be accompanied by an adult when in the Club.
  • They may not be left unsupervised unless approved by management.
  • Juniors are expected to respect the Club and obey Club rules.
  • If at any time, a staff person directs the behavior of a junior, the junior is expected to comply.
  • Any failure to do so will result in immediate suspension from the Club until there is a meeting of the junior, the parent, and General Manager.
  • At that time, the length of the suspension and a behavior contract will be determined.
  • If older than nine, the weight room may be used with the written permission of a coach, parental supervision or with management approval.
  • All juniors must take a weight room orientation to be able to use the Irvington Club Weight Room.

Etiquette

Proper tennis etiquette shall be observed at all times. Proper tennis etiquette includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Do not bounce or hit the balls against the walls.
  • Do not hit the balls or your racquet against the backdrop.
  •  Do not lean on the nets.
  •  Relinquish your court immediately when your court time ends if others are waiting.
  •  When a ball rolls onto a neighboring court, wait until play has stopped on that court before asking for or retrieving the ball.
  •  When entering courts 2, 3, or 4, walk behind the curtain on the east end. Do not run or talk while moving behind the curtain if play is in progress.
  •  Wait quietly for your court in the bleachers or in the lounge area.
  •  Wait until the changeover or a break in play before entering the bleacher area.
  •  Always maintain a quiet demeanor on the court.
  •  No spitting on the courts.
  •  No food or beverages on the courts.
  •  A fine may be levied for improper etiquette.
  •  If you have any questions on proper tennis etiquette, contact a staff member of the Club.

Dress Code

Appropriate tennis attire is required:

  • No basketball, running or lycra shorts.
  • No men’s tank tops.
  • Non-marking rubber sole tennis shoes only.
  • All undergarments must be covered.
  • Members are responsible for guest’s attire and parents are responsible for Junior’s attire.
  • Players need not wear shirts on the outside court.
  • Managerial staff may exercise judgment in enforcing the dress code and interpreting what is appropriate tennis attire.

Fines

A fine of $5.00 may be charged for the following:

  • Failure to cancel a court reservation 4 hours prior to reserved time.
  • Improper tennis attire.
  • Improper etiquette.
  • Violation of published club rules and regulations.

Club members may not  play on two prime time, day previous court reservations in one day; violation of this rule will result in a court fine of $12.00.  

Amendments

The tennis rules herein stated may be changed from time to time, as the Board of Trustees deems appropriate. Rules are in effect 30 days from the date they are posted.

Miscellaneous Charges

Court:  $5.00
Ball Machine:  $2.00/$1.00 (Junior)
Tennis Guest:  $10.00/$8.00 (Junior)
Out of Town Visitor (weekly):  $60.00/$50.00 (Junior)
Swim Guest:  $5.00
Towels:  $1.00

Locker Rental (monthly):  $3.00

Spa/Jacuzzi Rules, Regulations

  • Everyone is required to take a cleansing shower before entering the spa.  All sun screen and lotion must be rinsed off!
  • A key must be signed out and returned to the front desk (or pool snack bar) for spa access.
  • No food or drink (except water in a plastic container) allowed anywhere in the locker room, including the spa enclosure.
  • A maximum of 8 people are allowed in the spa at any one time.
  • Children age 3 and under are not allowed in the spa.  
  • No one under 16 years of age is allowed in the spa unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • No person suffering from a communicable disease transmittable through water shall use the spa.
  • Pregnant women should not use the spa without consulting their physician.
  • No one should spend more than 15 minutes in the spa in any one session.
  • Elderly persons and those suffering from heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, or those using prescription medications should consult their physician before using the spa.
  • Any individual under the influence of alcohol or other drugs should not use the spa.
  • No street shoes allowed in the spa enclosure.
  • Proper swim suit attire required.
  • Spa Hours 6:30 AM – 10:00 PM

Sauna Rules, Regulations

  • All persons are required to take a cleansing shower before entering the sauna.
  • No person suffering from a communicable disease shall use the sauna.
  • Children age 3 and under are not allowed in the sauna.
  • Juniors ages 4-17 must have a parent accompany them in the sauna.
  • No food or drink (except water in a plastic container) in the sauna.
  • Pregnant women should not use the sauna without consulting their physician.
  • Persons should spend no more than 20 minutes in the sauna at any one session.
  • Elderly persons and those suffering from heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure should consult their physician before using the sauna.
  • Any individual under the influence of alcohol or other drugs should not use the sauna.
  • A maximum of 6 people are allowed in the sauna at a time.
  • Bathing suits MUST be worn because this is a co-ed sauna.
  • If you spill water on the sauna tile, please squeegee the water into the shower.
  • Please use a towel to sit on.
  • No more than one spoonful of water should be used per sauna session.
  • When leaving the sauna, please make sure to turn the sauna light off.
  • If you notice any problems with the sauna, please inform the front desk staff.
  • When finished, please refill water bucket and keep spoon in water to prevent spoon from cracking.
