Walter Seidel

Walter grew up in South Africa where he traveled extensively as a junior, competing and achieving a top 10 ranking for boys 18-under.
He was recruited by Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas where he played on a full tennis scholarship. He helped lead Abilene Christian University to the NCAA Division II National Championships. After his collegiate experience, Walter competed in Satellite; Future and prize money tournaments. Currently, Walter can be found playing in Men's Open Tournaments and on a USTA team around the Pacific Northwest.
Walter currently holds a United States Professional Tennis Association(USPTA) Level 1 Certification and is certified by the South African Tennis Coaches Association (SATCA). He has earned his United States Tennis Association (USTA) High Performance Coaching Certification and is a member of the USTA Competitive Training Center (CTC) team. He continuously educates himself in the tennis business by attending USPTA conventions; USTA and USPTA workshops and International Tennis Federation (ITF) based websites. Walter also holds a bachelor of business degree in Marketing and Management from Abilene Christian University. He has and continues to coach many top sectional and nationally ranked juniors. He coaches adult USTA and City League teams and has experience teaching juniors and adults at all levels and abilities. He served on the USPTA Board of Directors for several years and is now an active member of the Northern Oregon Tennis Facilities Association (NOFTA).
