ITC 2008 Fall Junior Tennis Lessons (September-December) The Irvington Club has a very extensive junior program. Our juniors range from beginning Pee-Wees all the way to high school players vying for a State Championship. USPTA certified pros Walter Seidel and Cris Valverde will bring your juniors to the next level while instilling in the them the desire to play tennis for the rest of their lives! Cancellation Policy (effective November 15, 2008) Cancellation of a session later than the Wednesday prior to the start of the session starting will be charged a $25 late cancellation fee. The same will hold true for Junior Intense Camps If a private lesson is cancelled less than 24 hours of the lesson, a $25 late cancellation fee will be charged. Pee Wee & Beginning I (Ages 4-9), 3:15-4:00, Tuesday & Thursday This class is aimed at providing a positive learning environment for young players to fall in love with the game of tennis. Camp activities include developmentally appropriate tennis activities, on and off court racket drills, hand-eye coordination drills, and game play.
Advanced Beginner/Intermediate (Ages 10-14). 4:00-5:00, Tuesday & Thursday This is a developmental class for those looking to get into tournaments. This class is for beginning players and those with some basic on court skills. The focus will be on swing basics, shot selection, and consistency. The lesson encourages a positive and competitive environment for players to learn the game.
Advanced (Ages 10-14), 5:00-6:15, Tuesday & Thursday These players have tournament experience and good mechanics. The class works on developing the complete player. The players will work on stroke mechanics, point play, and advanced strategy.
High School (Ages 14-18), 3:30-5:00, Monday & Wednesday This is a tournament training class designed for the competitive player. These players have all played tournaments and have a good base of stroke mechanics. The players do intensive drilling, point simulation, fitness training, and mental toughness. Most players are practicing to compete on a high school JV or varsity team. This class requires the instructor approval.
