1920 Men's tennis became a minor sport at Oregon State University with Bennett T. Sims as first varsity tennis coach

1921 Phil Neer wins the NCAA singles championship representing Stanford University

1922 Phil Neer wins the NCAA doubles championship with James Davies

1928 Men's tennis was accepted as a major sport at the University of Oregon as the Ducks captured the Pacific Coast Conference Championship.

1933 Sam Lee wins the NCAA doubles championship with Joe Coughlin of Stanford

1935 Tennis reborn as a varsity sport at the University of Portland.
